Industry Perspective
All industries have been affected.
Small retailers have been hit hard. Grocery stores and other retailers selling necessities are doing very well.
Healthcare support companies are doing well, i.e. staffing, billing, and other support services.
Technology companies slowed their hiring at the beginning of the pandemic. The big companies have continued to hire throughout the pandemic. Others have slowly started to come back.
Trends in Remote Work
Andrew references a Wall Street Journal article, What CEOs Really Think About Remote Work.
A lot of CEOs are not fond of remote work. Andrew senses that remote work will stay but not in the current fashion.

Advice
Andrew suggests you take time every day to reflect on what you want in your career. You need to keep going if you want to continue to work. Having an overarching mission that you want to do. Think holistically.
