Mindset Issues

Mindset is your attitudes, beliefs, and habits of thinking that make reality for you.

The mindset issues are:

  • The belief that you cannot sell
  • Scarcity

Consulting is someone who is an external resource to an organization that gets paid to provide a service.

I Can’t Sell

Bad experiences with bad sellers lead many to think they cannot sell. You have to believe that the service you provide is really valuable.

What can I do to help the client I want to serve in the market I want to serve to reach their goals?  Distill this into a value proposition in enough detail that you believe it.

Knowing the difference between need and demand is important.

You need to talk to people who can tell that there is a demand that you can fulfill.

A Career Change from Account Manager to Organizing Entrepreneur. With Kay McManus. [Podcast]

Scarcity

Perceived scarcity is the belief that there is not enough business out there. This might also include imposter syndrome which is very common.

You can check out the Problogger episode called Strategies for Overcoming Imposter Syndrome.

Flipped Lifestyle program.

Go get evidence on what is true.  Do market research. Go talk to people on what they need and how you can help.

What is Your Value Proposition?

Define your value proposition and test it.

Go have a lot of discussions. Use the following post 7 Best Practices that Empower Your Career and Business.
