Tammy discusses that there is a job market out there. There are people who are hiring.
There are companies that are paralyzed. We are living in uncertain times. Control the things you can control. Which means working on your own personal branding. Take ownership of who you are.
This is a great time for networking. People are staying put and craving a human connection.
For introverts, this is a time to have more meaningful conversations.
Be interested, not interesting. Be curious about others and they others will be curious about you.
How Will Networking Be Different
It will be a long time before we return to what it was.
This will include phone calls, Zoom calls, and maybe one on one meetings for coffee.
Pacing and timing will change as things open up. People will get busier and timelines will expand on getting a hold of people.
Organizations, professional associations, and networking groups have been going on the whole time. Stay alert and aware. Do not make assumptions about just about anything.
People have let their guards down which is lovely and Tammy hopes that continues.
Pick up the phone and call people.

Remote Work
Most companies are in evaluation mode. This is not easy for anyone.
Many employees have issues with creating a home-work environment.
Geographical boundaries for jobs have greatly expanded.
Tammy’s best piece of advice is to stay open and curious to what makes you happy. Take a PBR – Pause, Breath, and Relax.
